House Rock is one of the destinations along The Pacific Coast Trail. Located just north of Brookings, the viewpoint offers the most memorable panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean you can find. House Rock, part of the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, is an excellent location to enjoy a picnic or start a hike along the trail.
The House Rock monument is located in the center of the lookout.
It would be hard to find a better place to watch the sun set on the Pacific Ocean.

The Pacific Coast Trail winds its way around the base of the viewpoint and works its way to the top before continuing on.
